2022 Special Projects: Running Water
We were happy to award a grant to the Village of Huay Pu Keng to expand the reach and storage capacity of their water system. Their system collects water in the nearby hills and pipes it into the village. Our grant will provide running water to additional homes and add storage to insure adequate volume for the entire village. Pipe and storage tanks were purchased and all the installation work was completed by village volunteers.
2022 Special Projects: Refugees within Myanmar
The civil war between the indigenous Karenni people and the current military government has forced them from their homes and livelihoods. Through our connections to the Karenni refugee village in Thailand we received a request for funds to help obtain food, medicine, and transportation for these internally displaced people. We provided two grants in 2022.
