PROJECTS 2015-16
CTH-Thailand installs its first potable water facilities, following in the footsteps of the first CTH projects in Vietnam.
MAAK PRIK SCHOOL
A decaying "canteen" has now been renovated to be a more suitable place for the students to eat lunch and enjoy activities during the rainy season. CTH provided funds to expand the space, repair the roof, and install tile.
MANAETRUANG SCHOOL
The kids were thrilled to finally have a real set of drums for school events. And after years of making-do, the table tennis pros now have their very own ping pong table.
NAJALONG SCHOOL
Running water was only available at this school on Monday and Thursday mornings. The school now has a water storage tank and filter that can supply a safe and reliable water source.
HUAY DEUN
The valley in which Huay Deun sits is beautiful but it's a challenging bumpy slog from the main road. CTH helped the school acquire and install a storage tank and filter so there is finally a reliable supply of water.
MANOLA SCHOOL
The early morning flag raising is a bit safer now that the decaying wood flagpole has been replaced. CTH also provided the school with a notebook computer for both the students' and teachers' use.
MUANG RAI
Another cafeteria! This one is being built from scratch. With help from the community the school is making this happen with a grant of $1500
HUAY PU KHENG
The village plans to use its grant to fund the construction of a dormitory for students who attend school away from the village. The grant is being held by CTH until additional funding can be secured.
